Hi Miles, Thank you for sharing the nice videos with me! I totally have to watch that film, 500 Days of Summer. I'm sure that it would be my cup of tea! The music is also good, ....scientifically. The film will be released next week here in Japan. La Maison en Petits Cubes, what a sentimental story. It's so sad that his happy memories sink under the water, and he manages to live there in the harsh changing circumstances, in the inexorable march of time. Too sad...
Aghhhh!! Scary balloon! I have often had the feeling that balloons are suspicious... Usually, clowns or people disguised in a bear suit or a rabbit suit give balloons to children. They hide there faces whenever they give balloons. So suspicious! I should have known. Frightening balloon!
I like this version as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUBBsA9wvXQ too funny!
I saw that Animation Show when it came to my town a few years ago. The guy who made "Billy's Balloon," Dan Herzfeldt, was at the theater and talked about his animation. Everything he uses in his cartoons is real. The electricity in his cartoons... is real! I don't know how he did it. The Animation Show was fantastic, though. And his cartoons are hilarious.
how about this then? It's more political... and a bit macabre... kinda disturbing... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gX8sbNgEk4g
You saw Don Hertzfeldt?! How nice! His talk show sounds like so interesting.
That film looks like a satire on our society. People are sacrificed their life for a nation or God. But it's not actually for a nation or for God. It's for maintaining domination. Some people in power uses sacrifice stones for a trivial matter, or just for fun. That film was thought-provoking.
Now, the world can be an unfair place at times, but your lows will have their compliment of highs. And if anyone should cheat you, take advantage of, or beat you, wear your wound with pride!
You must stick up for yourself, son. Nevermind what anybody else's done.
Addictive song! I can understand you're obsessed by that song. Nice melody... That song reminded of me Animal Collective. That rhythm and folkloric sounds are Animal Collective-ish, I thought. Animal Collective is more psychedelic and more underground and noisier, though.
I wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year, sir.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful song!
